How excited can a girl get ...... a couple of weeks ago this parcel came in the mail .... had no idea who could be sending me a parcel from the USA, it was too early for the redwork cushion date of the 2nd of May wasn't it...... it was only mid April.......
inside another parcel wrapped in red paper......

tah dah..... a beautiful redwork cushion, it was gorgeous, I was so pleased with it....
and can you see the two embroidery transfers for more redwork maybe and the cute little birdie.. I think it is a dove.... nice to hang on my tree at Christmas.....

thank-you so much Susan for your lovely work, it really suits my house...... although my lot wanted to know why I needed another cushion..... doh! they should know you always have room for another cushion or two...lol
Now here is a photo of the cushion I made, it was my first effort at actual redwork and it won't be the last, I really enjoyed stitching it ......

here is a close-up picture, I heard back from my lady and she liked it

Hi Sheryl, I found you again yahoo!! I had bookmarked your site on the laptop also -great news.
I love your cushion you received and also the one which you did and sent. Really nice. I also adore your couch whichyou have got your new cushion sitting on-yummy. I am thinking that I can live in your house easily, we obviously have similar tastes.

Hi Sheryl,

As I mentioned when I replied to your e-mail... I'm so glad that you liked your cushion. It was fun to work on and since this was a secret swap it was fun too thinking about the person I was making it for and wondering what her life might be like. So thanks too for sharing a bit about yourself in your e-mail letting me know that your cushion had arrived. That made it all the more fun.

And I really like the cushion you made for your swap partner. I'm sure that she loves it.

Beautiful redwork ... sent and received. One of my many ufos is a small quilt built around the same stitchery you did for your partner. I still really like those Country Friends designs. Have stitched quite a few of them over the years.
