This was my morning view of my garden this morning ......a couple of my beautiful trees.... Liquidamber in front and my gorgeous Crabapple... its my favourite..... and that black thing on the side is the wheel of the vintage.....past its use-by ride on mower.... soon to be sent to mower heaven..... or worse.... according to its owner -dh.....lol and more lol!! It is forever breaking down in the middle of mowing....
'Oh what a beautiful morning Oh what a beautiful day' thats just the song for a morning like today, sun shining, no wind, birds chattering everywhere, perfect!!
While I was on my walk I remembered a special little somebody hiding in my cupboard because he isn't finished :(
All he needs is some stitching to hold his stuffing in and a face and ears.... think I will make this my project to finish over the weekend; will post a before photo later after I have done some grocery shopping .......

Well the progress on this stitchery is slow but I am getting there! This is my cute little Cinderberry Stitches Ginger and Spice bag that I cart it around in, sitting next to a cushion I made a few years back.....
When I finish the stitchery this is my next goal ......to finish this Christmas wallhanging hopefully to be hung this year.... it is a Cinderberry Stitches creation as well...I love Natalies work..... This one was the Christmas Mice pattern from a day at Candleberry Country - Candleberry Christmas - last year I think, finally I will finish something from one of those days........
You know where you go to sew and you end up hardly putting a stitch in because you are too busy catching up with friends and meeting new people and seeing what everyone-else is making and shopping and eating.... good fun!!
Sounds just like one of those days you lucky girls that went to Glenharrow had ........

Why is it when you have plans, something steps in to spoil them, went up to sewing room to set up some photos..... pick up the camera only to find the batteries flat again... so frustrating!!!!
So once again just a few words for today ( I have to go to work at 12 and it will be dark when I get back to " hopefully" charged batteries).LOL!!!
Have found a couple of pics I hadn't posted yet..... applique blocks of a quilt top (wall-hanging) waiting to be quilted......... this was "Welcome Friends" BOM from the Boatshed Quilting

This morning I headed off on a little road trip on my own to visit a very dear friend who is visiting hospital for the forth or fifth time to have a chronic problem fixed that should have been fixed with one hospital visit.... lucky she is sooo tough. Anyway we had a quick coffee and popped over to the quilt shop in her town where we were involved in some serious retail therapy.... anything to help a friend destress, .....picking fabrics for a lovely embroidered quilt we bought online from a site in Tasmania, hope to post some pics soon.

This is our golden retriever Archie..... very happy to be allowed on the boat. And this is our middle daughter's english cocker spaniel (our gran-puppy!!! closest thing to a granchild so far) his name is Nixon, he was not too sure about this boating business!!
These are the fabrics to go with the stitchery from the previous blog to make a bag, I bought them at a Christmas day at Candleberry Country last year, I will post some pics of something I started there in another post. Now I must go and finish a bag for my dear friend for her birthday.

Today is my "baby's" 25Th birthday, wow the time goes so fast, she was a darling baby and she hasn't changed that much, she is still a darling. When she popped in for lunch she mentioned she had spoken to her sister, currently living in Qld, and said that she would get her pressie later after work- her new rabbit or kitten or maybe a duckling ( she is such a dreamer) as if!! we already have a cat and two dogs plenty of animals for the moment. Let me introduce them to you, firstly Phoebe she is a Himalayan / Persian about 8yrs old, she is as pretty as a picture but all she does is sit around and look glamorous, nice if you're a cat.
Next time I post there will be pics of Archie and Nixon so you will have to wait and see how cute they are Now I am off to my sewing room to work on block No2 of my Vintage Valentine quilt, I have borrowed a light box from my dear SIL while she's not using it so I am trying to get lots done with it, have traced off a few stitcheries for a couple of BOMs I have going ...one of them being- Truly Scrumptious from Honeysuckle Cottage , I really loove this one after seeing it being created on Natalie's Cinderberry Stitches blog, so better go because I have lots to do, hope you have time for a stitch or two, Sheryl
